A Lady's Ruminations

"Jane was firm where she felt herself to be right." -Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice

I'm also a usually quiet, reserved Lady, who enjoys books, tea, baking, and movies! I spend most of my time reading one of my favorite books or wishing I was reading my favorite books. My Grand Passion is history, particularly the Regency Period in England, when Jane Austen wrote, Lord Nelson defeated the French Fleet at Trafalgar, the Duke of Wellington defeated Napoleon, and men were Gentlemen and women Ladies. I cherish the thought of being a Lady and love manners, being proper, and having proper tea. My favorite tea is Twinings, especially Earl Grey or Prince of Wales. My specialty to make is Scones with Devon Cream. I am a Catholic and a Conservative.

Responding to Michael J. Fox

Have you been watching the World Series? If yes, have you seen the political ad featuring Michael J. Fox, who supports stem cell research?

Don't be fooled by what he says. Embryonic stem cell research is immoral because it uses cells from murdered (aborted) babies. And such research has not cured a thing. Adult stem cell research, however, has done remarkable things.

Via Drudge and Stop the ACLU:

An ad has been created in response to Fox's ad. It features The Passion of the Christ star Jim Caviezel (a great Catholic), St. Louis Cardinals Pitcher Jeff Suppan (another great Catholic), Everybody Loves Raymond star Patricia Heaton (yet another great Catholic) and football great Kurt Warner, etc.

More from Mary Katherine Ham and Hot Air.
