I'm also a usually quiet, reserved Lady, who enjoys books, tea, baking, and movies! I spend most of my time reading one of my favorite books or wishing I was reading my favorite books. My Grand Passion is history, particularly the Regency Period in England, when Jane Austen wrote, Lord Nelson defeated the French Fleet at Trafalgar, the Duke of Wellington defeated Napoleon, and men were Gentlemen and women Ladies. I cherish the thought of being a Lady and love manners, being proper, and having proper tea. My favorite tea is Twinings, especially Earl Grey or Prince of Wales. My specialty to make is Scones with Devon Cream. I am a Catholic and a Conservative.

RIP Agent 86

When my sister and I were little, we used to watch reruns of Get Smart. It was our favorite show and we still lament the fact that it isn't on any channel we can find.

I was sad to hear, today, that Don Adams, who played Agent 86/Maxwell Smart, in the show, died yesterday at the age of 82.

The theme song to Get Smart is going through my head right now. My sister and I used to run around playing the characters, imagining a "cone of silence" and shoe phones. My sister always used to say, "Missed it by that much" in a Maxwell Smart Voice. It was such a fun show.

Looking at a bio for Don Adams on IMDB.com, I read something I didn't know:

Served in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II, and took part in the landings and battle at Guadalcanal, where he contracted malaria.
God rest his soul and give his family peace and comfort.

Agent 86 has gone deep undercover. Rest in peace.
