I'm also a usually quiet, reserved Lady, who enjoys books, tea, baking, and movies! I spend most of my time reading one of my favorite books or wishing I was reading my favorite books. My Grand Passion is history, particularly the Regency Period in England, when Jane Austen wrote, Lord Nelson defeated the French Fleet at Trafalgar, the Duke of Wellington defeated Napoleon, and men were Gentlemen and women Ladies. I cherish the thought of being a Lady and love manners, being proper, and having proper tea. My favorite tea is Twinings, especially Earl Grey or Prince of Wales. My specialty to make is Scones with Devon Cream. I am a Catholic and a Conservative.

In Memoriam

Today is a very sad day and I doubt I will do much posting. Last week, my friend's husband died and today is the funeral. They had only been married 13 months and had just had a baby.

Please keep us all in your prayers.

Collin Clinton Lars Leach

Born February 27, 1982 in Spokane, WA; passed away September 26, 2006 in Spokane. He is survived by his wife, Meghan Leach; son, Simon Peter Lars Leach of Spokane; parents Dan and Judy Leach, Glen Douglas and Susan Smith; brothers and sister, Jaron, Tessa and Shaw Leach; brothers-in-law, Kyle and Nathan Douglas; sisters-in-law, Kimberlee Josaitis, Sheri Bandel and Jessica Leach. Collin was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church. He humbly served God, helped with Sunday School and Youth Group. He graduated from home school and was a biology student at EWU. He was a Biological Technician for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. He loved sharing the outdoors with everyone. He loved to mountain bike, backpack, and cook over the campfire. He was the King of Swing and played the bass with his brother, Shaw. His sincereness of heart was unmatched. He was a loving father, husband and son. A Vigil Service will be held Sunday, October 1, at 7:00 p.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 545 E. Providence. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, October 2, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, 7200 N. Wall.
The first reading at the funeral will be:

13 We do not want you to be unaware, brothers, about those who have fallen asleep, so that you may not grieve like the rest, who have no hope.
14 For if we believe that Jesus died and rose, so too will God, through Jesus, bring with him those who have fallen asleep.
15 Indeed, we tell you this, on the word of the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will surely not precede those who have fallen asleep.
16 For the Lord himself, with a word of command, with the voice of an archangel and with the trumpet of God, will come down from heaven, and the dead in Christ will rise first.
17 Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together 4 with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Thus we shall always be with the Lord.
18 Therefore, console one another with these words.

May God console Meghan and their families and friends, in this time of grief. May they find peace and always know that He is with them.

Requiescat in pace, Collin.
