Location: United States

I'm also a usually quiet, reserved Lady, who enjoys books, tea, baking, and movies! I spend most of my time reading one of my favorite books or wishing I was reading my favorite books. My Grand Passion is history, particularly the Regency Period in England, when Jane Austen wrote, Lord Nelson defeated the French Fleet at Trafalgar, the Duke of Wellington defeated Napoleon, and men were Gentlemen and women Ladies. I cherish the thought of being a Lady and love manners, being proper, and having proper tea. My favorite tea is Twinings, especially Earl Grey or Prince of Wales. My specialty to make is Scones with Devon Cream. I am a Catholic and a Conservative.

Si, Se Puede? Not!

Written by Christi and Crossposted from CommonSenseAmerica---

Si, se puede, (Yes, we can) has been the chant of illegal immigrants and their activists across America. And they are trying to prove:

Yes, we can ignore your laws

And more recently

Yes, we can infringe upon YOUR freedom of speech…

The Capital Times, WI reports:

"Si, se puede!" "Yes, we can!"

Fifty local immigration reform activists rallied Friday on the grounds of the State Capitol, shouting chants, banging drums and drowning out members of the 21st Century Paul Revere Ride, a group of self-styled patriots crossing the country by motorcycle to "warn Americans of the unarmed invasion from Mexico," the group's Web page says.

"We are not here to yell or scream at people," Don McKee of Venice, Fla., said Friday at the Capitol. "We're here to ask the government to enforce existing laws. You can't cross a border without documents."
But the pro-immigration activists seem to think that "freedom of speech" means having no respect for any opposing opinion. Acting as children in the midst of a temper tantrum, the activists attempted to shout down and drown out the freedom of speech of the 21st Century Paul Revere Riders.

What is even more appalling?

The group became more and more loud as a singer with the Reveres strummed a guitar and sang "I'm proud to be an American."
But one of the members explained the obnoxious, opposing groups position quite well using their usual leftist mantra:

David Duran of Lodi, a member of Latinos United for Change and Advancement (LUChA), said he protested to get the Reveres out of town. "We don't want racist bigots here," he said.
So, is this what "Si, se puede" wants to stand for? Running a group of Americans out of town by shouting them down and calling them racists? Silencing opposing viewpoints with childish actions and hateful words meant to smear your opponent?

It seems that these pro-immigration activists do not understand that the rights of the American people, such as freedom of speech, come with the grown-up responsibility of not infringing upon the rights of others.

So the next time you think, Si, se puede, just remember…

No, you can't. At least, not without looking like a bunch of wild-eyed, lunatics.
