I'm also a usually quiet, reserved Lady, who enjoys books, tea, baking, and movies! I spend most of my time reading one of my favorite books or wishing I was reading my favorite books. My Grand Passion is history, particularly the Regency Period in England, when Jane Austen wrote, Lord Nelson defeated the French Fleet at Trafalgar, the Duke of Wellington defeated Napoleon, and men were Gentlemen and women Ladies. I cherish the thought of being a Lady and love manners, being proper, and having proper tea. My favorite tea is Twinings, especially Earl Grey or Prince of Wales. My specialty to make is Scones with Devon Cream. I am a Catholic and a Conservative.

The RNC wants to "Set the Record Straight"

The RNC wants to "set the record straight." Ok, how about some truth? Let's hear the RNC say that President Bush, and our other elected "representatives" are doing all they can to allow 12 million plus illegals become citizens through amnesty. Let's hear the RNC say that the GOP Majority hasn't really done a thing for us.

I'm quite tired of receiving e-mails from the RNC like this:

From obstructing immigration reform to playing politics with our national security to advocating higher taxes and higher gas prices, Democrat hypocrisy knows no bounds.

You won't hear about it in the liberal media, though, so the RNC is turning to grassroots leaders like you to help set the record straight.

That's why I need you to make an urgent online contribution of $25.00, $40.00 or $50.00 to get the word out about the real Democrat record of obstruction and hypocrisy.

Democrats are using every minute parliamentary tactic they can find to obstruct the Bush/Republican agenda for a stronger America. Don't take my word for it. The facts speak for themselves:

-Immigration: Democrats say they want to pass immigration reform. But when the time came for a vote, Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid and Senate Democrats obstructed immigration reform by blocking any amendments to a comprehensive bill. Liberal New York Senator Chuck Schumer reportedly told his colleagues he would prefer to have the issue for this fall's elections rather than real border security.
-National Security: The Democrats say they want “Real Security,” but their only security agenda item appears to be denying America the tools needed to fight and win the War on Terror. Democrat Senator Russ Feingold has called for censuring the President for the terrorist surveillance program that, in combination with other Patriot Act programs, has successfully helped identify and disrupt over 150 terrorist threats and cells. John Kerry has even said there is a “solid case to bring articles of impeachment against this President."
-Taxes: Democrats claim to support taxpayers. Yet the Democrats overwhelmingly opposed the 2001 and 2003 tax cuts and now say they don't want them to be permanent, which would result in a nearly $2.4 trillion tax hike on ALL American taxpayers.
-Energy: When it comes to an energy policy, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and a majority of Democrats have favored initiatives that would raise gas prices $955 per year for American families with two vehicles.

We cannot allow the Democrats' double-talk and obstructionism go unanswered. Your contribution of $25.00, $40.00 or $50.00 will help the RNC get the facts out and provide the resources we need to preserve our Congressional majorities in 2006.

Please act today. With the facts on our side and your continued support, we will hold the Democrats accountable for their hypocrisy and inaction.

Sincerely,
Ken Mehlman
Chairman, Republican National Committee

P.S. We must set the record straight on Democrat hypocrisy if we are to stop the liberal power grab and elect more Republicans in 2006. Please make a secure online contribution of $25.00, $40.00 or $50.00 to the RNC today. Thank you.

Again, what exactly has President Bush or the GOP Majority (or the RNC) actually done for us? Yes, HUGE, HUGE points on most of the War on Terror, though there were places George W. could have done much better.

But other than that, what exactly have they done? Rather than behave like a party in control of the HOUSE, the SENATE, and the PRESIDENCY, the Republicans have behaved like the minority, making deals with the Dems, failing to bring forth Conservative legislation and pass it, failing to confirm good Conservatives (ok, well, we got a few!), caving in on many important things.

The tax cuts George W. pushed for are not permanent. We are really no closer to ridding the US of the abominations of gay "marriage" and abortion. We haven't been able to drill in ANWR. We haven't been able to set up Conservative eduction legislation (GW went with Teddy "the Drunk" Kennedy for the ed reform). Government spending is absolutely huge. We still can't pray in our tax-payer funded schools.

AND, the President and friends are completely turning their backs on what We the People want in regards to immigration. Poll after poll shows that Americans are not for amnesty. But, what do our elected "reps." keep pushing?---Amnesty, by any other name.

The RNC will not be receiving another penny from me until We the People get what we voted for. This isn't it.

We should all be donating to the Minutemen, instead. They are doing the work our government officials have sworn to do.
