I'm also a usually quiet, reserved Lady, who enjoys books, tea, baking, and movies! I spend most of my time reading one of my favorite books or wishing I was reading my favorite books. My Grand Passion is history, particularly the Regency Period in England, when Jane Austen wrote, Lord Nelson defeated the French Fleet at Trafalgar, the Duke of Wellington defeated Napoleon, and men were Gentlemen and women Ladies. I cherish the thought of being a Lady and love manners, being proper, and having proper tea. My favorite tea is Twinings, especially Earl Grey or Prince of Wales. My specialty to make is Scones with Devon Cream. I am a Catholic and a Conservative.

JONATHAN AND DEBORAH FLORA TO SPEAK AT FRC ACTION VALUES VOTERS SUMMIT IN WASHINGTON, D.C.

BURBANK, California, Sept. 7, 2006 – Jonathan and Deborah Flora, the writer/director and lead-actress of the powerful movie A Distant Thunder will join the line-up of speakers at the first annual Washington Briefing: Values Voter Summit, which will be held Sept. 22-24, at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C.

FRC Action President Tony Perkins and co-sponsors Dr. James Dobson, Gary Bauer and Don Wildmon will also be joined by Ann Coulter, Sean Hannity, Newt Gingrich, Bill Bennett, Attorney General Alberto Gonzales, Gov. Mitt Romney, Sens. George Allen, Sam Brownback and Rick Santorum, Gov. Mike Huckabee, Reps. Mike Pence and Marilyn Musgrave and many more.

With a combined network of over five million supporters, FRC Action, Focus on the Family Action, American Family Association Action and Americans United to Preserve Marriage, are gearing up for an event to galvanize values voters and shape the debate for this year's midterm elections and beyond.

A Distant Thunder, the first motion picture to address partial-birth abortion, has been screened numerous times on Capitol Hill to members of Congress and their staff and is receiving critical acclaim for its courageous story-telling and creative style. With a nod to Alfred Hitchcock, the LA Daily News calls A Distant Thunder, “A powerful thriller and a gripping legal drama. It will move you, it will change you.” The movie was also mentioned from the state floor during the South Dakota Abortion Ban debates and credited with garnering critical votes in the bill’s favor.

By effectively inserting a hot-button issue into a compelling script in hopes that people will come away from the film thinking differently, A Distant Thunder is supported and endorsed by many pro-life organizations and activists such as Father Frank Pavone of Priests For Life, calling it, “Without a doubt, one of the most powerful tools to make people think and wrestle with the abortion issue.”

The Floras are not reticent about saying that they intend for the movie to change attitudes and lives. The movie targets teenagers and adults on both sides of the abortion debate. “With A Distant Thunder we are trying to educate people with facts but also to entertain them”, says Jonathan. “It’s in this way that defensive walls tend to come down”, he adds.

A Distant Thunder is available on DVD at www.adistantthunder.com, Amazon.com, and Netflix.com.
