Location: United States

I'm also a usually quiet, reserved Lady, who enjoys books, tea, baking, and movies! I spend most of my time reading one of my favorite books or wishing I was reading my favorite books. My Grand Passion is history, particularly the Regency Period in England, when Jane Austen wrote, Lord Nelson defeated the French Fleet at Trafalgar, the Duke of Wellington defeated Napoleon, and men were Gentlemen and women Ladies. I cherish the thought of being a Lady and love manners, being proper, and having proper tea. My favorite tea is Twinings, especially Earl Grey or Prince of Wales. My specialty to make is Scones with Devon Cream. I am a Catholic and a Conservative.

A "Fair Path For Citizenship"

I think what bothers me the most about these illegal alien marches, other than the fact that these people are illegally here and no one is enforcing our laws, is the way these illegals pretend to be proud Americans, while at the same time calling Americans racists, bigots, thieves, and Nazis. One wonders why these people would want to become citizens of this country, if we're all so rotten.

Just look at these, these and these pictures from Michelle Malkin's blog. And how about these? Citizens of this country don't have to wear bandannas over their faces because they fear being arrested---unless they are bank robbers or plan to mug someone.

But don't be fooled by these illegal alien protestors waving American flags or wearing shirts with America or USA on them. They don't really love the Red, White, and Blue; they do love green, however, as in our money. They aren't here to be Americans. They are here to take our money and send it to Mexico.

This is evidenced by the way these protests have been organized. When they first began, the streets were full of people waving Mexican flags, wearing pro-Mexico clothing, painted the colors of the Mexican flag, etc. Old Glory was pulled down from flag poles, disrespected, and even burned. Sensing backlash, the organizers of these events told people to start carrying the American flag and proclaiming love for the US. I don't buy it and I hope you all won't either.

We must also not forget that these people are marching with the backing and encouragement of groups like La Raza and Aztlan. They want to take back the Southwest United States. They say they are "the race" (la raza!). They hate Americans and whites and Jews. They support the Palestinians. They hate us.

Yet, there they are: demanding citizenship and rights from Our Country.

They demand "a fair path for citizenship." Yet, we have already given them one. It is called Immigration. That means legally coming through the United States at a border checkpoint and applying for citizenship. If you've already crossed the border illegally, then you have nullified the extremely fair path to citizenship that has been in place for a long time.

It is not our duty to make citizenship possible for anyone. It is the duty of every man, woman, and child who wishes to come to the United States to do it properly, legally, morally.

If one's first act is to break the law by coming across a border illegally, then why should he be rewarded with citizenship? American citizenship is, despite all the anti-American hatred from the Leftists in this country towards this country, the Golden Apple---the greatest prize in the world.

I can sympathize with the fact that people desire, with everything they have, to come to this country. I am thankful that God made me an American by birth. My heart aches for people who live in horrible conditions. But, such conditions are no excuse for breaking into my country. Such conditions are no excuse for breaking our laws.

And, as said before, these people who are out protesting really don't want to be Americans. They just want to be in America, to make money and take advantage over our (overly generous) welfare state. They don't care about learning English and the history and laws of the US. They prefer we learn Spanish and allow them to follow (or not follow) any laws. This is wrong.

What is worse is our own government's complicity in this whole thing. Our elected "representatives" (they aren't doing much representing of anything other than their own opinions---and the opinions of illegal aliens) have tossed us to the waves and are all for saving people who aren't here legally.

We have to remind those in the government who they work for. Remind them that there is already a "Fair Path for Citizenship." We don't need new laws that make it easier for lawbreakers to become citizens. We just need to enforce the laws we already have . . . and properly deal with those who have already broken them (meaning, deport, deport, deport).

Anything else is unfair to Citizens.
