I'm also a usually quiet, reserved Lady, who enjoys books, tea, baking, and movies! I spend most of my time reading one of my favorite books or wishing I was reading my favorite books. My Grand Passion is history, particularly the Regency Period in England, when Jane Austen wrote, Lord Nelson defeated the French Fleet at Trafalgar, the Duke of Wellington defeated Napoleon, and men were Gentlemen and women Ladies. I cherish the thought of being a Lady and love manners, being proper, and having proper tea. My favorite tea is Twinings, especially Earl Grey or Prince of Wales. My specialty to make is Scones with Devon Cream. I am a Catholic and a Conservative.

Items of Interest

Dear Readers,
Sorry for the lack of posting lately. What can I say? The temperature has been super hot here lately and I have spent a lot of time at the lake. That means that when I get home, I have a lot to do! Plus, family is in town, my best friend and her family are moving away, and I have lots of things going on, really. I'm sure you'll pardon me. I promise to do more posting when the temperature cools down and I have some time!

So, for today, here are some Items of Interest:

First, stop by A Rose By Any Other Name and wish Anna a Happy Birthday!

Amy Proctor had a great post on the Dixie Chicks on Tuesday. Their concerts aren't selling!

Over at Woman Honor Thyself, Angel has a great post on political correctness and Anti-Americanism.

Ann Coulter's latest column: More of John Kerry's Retroactive Campaign Promises
