"Jane was firm where she felt herself to be right." -Jane Austen, Pride and Prejudice

I'm also a usually quiet, reserved Lady, who enjoys books, tea, baking, and movies! I spend most of my time reading one of my favorite books or wishing I was reading my favorite books. My Grand Passion is history, particularly the Regency Period in England, when Jane Austen wrote, Lord Nelson defeated the French Fleet at Trafalgar, the Duke of Wellington defeated Napoleon, and men were Gentlemen and women Ladies. I cherish the thought of being a Lady and love manners, being proper, and having proper tea. My favorite tea is Twinings, especially Earl Grey or Prince of Wales. My specialty to make is Scones with Devon Cream. I am a Catholic and a Conservative.

Who are the Heroes?

We, the willing, led by the unknowing, are doing the impossible for the ungrateful. We have now done so much for so long with so little, we are now capable of doing anything with nothing
-Navy Quote
Let us solemnly remember the sacrifices of all those who fought so valiantly, on the seas, in the air, and on foreign shores, to preserve our heritage of freedom, and let us re-consecrate ourselves to the task of promoting an enduring peace so that their efforts shall not have been in vain.
-Dwight Eisenhower

“It is the soldier, not the reporter,
Who has given us freedom of the press.

“It is the soldier, not the poet,
Who has given us freedom of speech.

“It is the soldier, not the campus organizer,
Who has given us the freedom to demonstrate.

“It is the soldier, who salutes the flag,
Who serves beneath the flag,
And whose coffin is draped by the flag,
Who allows the protester to burn the flag.”

– Father Dennis Edward O’Brian, USMC (United States Marine Corps)
From now until the end of the world, we and it shall be remembered.
We few, we Band of Brothers.
For he who sheds his blood with me shall be my brother.
- William Shakespeare ("King Henry V")
The price of freedom is eternal vigilance.
- Thomas Jefferson
