I'm also a usually quiet, reserved Lady, who enjoys books, tea, baking, and movies! I spend most of my time reading one of my favorite books or wishing I was reading my favorite books. My Grand Passion is history, particularly the Regency Period in England, when Jane Austen wrote, Lord Nelson defeated the French Fleet at Trafalgar, the Duke of Wellington defeated Napoleon, and men were Gentlemen and women Ladies. I cherish the thought of being a Lady and love manners, being proper, and having proper tea. My favorite tea is Twinings, especially Earl Grey or Prince of Wales. My specialty to make is Scones with Devon Cream. I am a Catholic and a Conservative.

The Devil Gets Some Company

I was listening to Rush's radio show today and he was talking about Zarqawi. He played a montage of clips from a press conference about Zarqawi late yesterday. As expected, they were all freaking out over Zarqawi's death by 500 pound bomb. "Why didn't you want to get him alive?" "Was he given medical aid?" "Why use such big bombs?" "Was he alive?" "What about his rights?!?" Ok, so I made up that last one, but there were other silly questions I have since forgotten. (Transcript and audio here)

According to reports, Zarqawi was alive.

Rush responded to the little MSM hissy fit by talking about the reports. Apparently by the time the US troops arrived, the Iraqi troops were already in and had put Zarqawi on a sort of stretcher. He was still alive, but died a short time later. At one point, he looked up and saw American troops around him and barely attempted to roll off and get away.

I have to agree with Rush. He said that while he is never happy to see another human suffer, in this case, he was glad of it. He hoped Zarqawi was crying, in pain, asking for help, and that the last thing Zarqawi saw was American Special Forces officers. Sounds like that's what happened. And I am glad that Zarqawi was alive for long enough to know that we got him. That our brave military men were taking him away.

Zarqawi deserved to die like a rat in the smoking ruins of his not-so-safe house. How many innocent people has he murdered in the name of his "cause"? He was an evil cowardly animal and deserves to rot in hell for all eternity. I read that his "spiritual advisor" was killed as well. Some kind of "spiritual!"

What the MSM doesn't seem to understand is that this is a well-deserved death. Zarqawi deserved a long bout of torture, but we showed him the mercy he showed no one else. He deserved to have a 500 pound bomb for every life he has taken dropped on his head.

The MSM also doesn't understand that the important thing is getting Zarqawi, "DEAD or ALIVE." We just need him gone---and he is. I heard on the radio that our forces found passports, papers, weapons, and lots more in the rubble of the house. These items will prove invaluable.

How about some celebrating that an enemy to Freedom is dead? Freedom beat him down. The MSM is too busy complaining that Zarqawi didn't get his "due process" and was violently killed. Those who live by the sword . . . Zarqawi lived by the sword. We in the United States go to war because we must, to protect and liberate the innocent. Zarqawi chose to spend his life blowing the innocent up. The MSM is too busy blaming President Bush for Zarqawi's wickedness. Quite silly, really. Zarqawi would have killed every member of the MSM if he could---in cold blood, without a second thought.

Wouldn't it be nice if someone in the MSM would just ask, "So, how do you think Zarqawi is enjoying Hell?"

More from Rush:
This Is War, Not a Game

Rush from yesterday: "It's a Glorious Day for America,
and a Depressing Day for Democrats," (the website also says, hilariously, "Zarqawi Assumes Room Temperature..."

The National Review editors have this editorial up on Zarqawi's death.
