I'm also a usually quiet, reserved Lady, who enjoys books, tea, baking, and movies! I spend most of my time reading one of my favorite books or wishing I was reading my favorite books. My Grand Passion is history, particularly the Regency Period in England, when Jane Austen wrote, Lord Nelson defeated the French Fleet at Trafalgar, the Duke of Wellington defeated Napoleon, and men were Gentlemen and women Ladies. I cherish the thought of being a Lady and love manners, being proper, and having proper tea. My favorite tea is Twinings, especially Earl Grey or Prince of Wales. My specialty to make is Scones with Devon Cream. I am a Catholic and a Conservative.

Sorry, by breaking our laws, these illegal aliens have already turned themselves into criminals.

Oh, and my bishop, William Skylstad (the one who has done a rotten job handling the sex abuse scandal here---he gave up the ship and we're bankrupt!!!), has written a nice Lefty piece on how we need immigrants and how we need workers and how we're a nation of immigrants. The article contains all the usual Lib rhetoric about immigration. You can read it here. I'm too angry to comment on it right now. Oh, and you can read the Spanish version of it here. I would think that a diocese that is in danger of being forced to sell all the buildings it owns (and those it doesn't---the parishes and schools!!!) would not have the money to pay for printing everything in Spanish. But, apparently enabling people not to learn English counts more than keeping our churches and Catholic schools.

And More:

Michelle Malkin has a ton of inside information on the planning of ILLEGAL ALIEN DAY, including documents from school unions, districts, and La Raza. Plus, it looks like the Mexican government is joining in. Outrageous stuff!

President Bush has heard about the Spanish version of our National Anthem. He thinks Our Anthem Should Be in English and goes so far (!) as to say:

"One of the things that's very important is, when we debate this issue, that we not lose our national soul," the president exclaimed. "One of the great things about America is that we've been able to take people from all walks of life bound as one nation under God. And that's the challenge ahead of us."
(emphasis added) How nice of him to FINALLY NOTICE. But I'm afraid he's already aided and abetted the loss of our national soul. And if we allow this amnesty, we might as well nail the coffin shut.
