I'm also a usually quiet, reserved Lady, who enjoys books, tea, baking, and movies! I spend most of my time reading one of my favorite books or wishing I was reading my favorite books. My Grand Passion is history, particularly the Regency Period in England, when Jane Austen wrote, Lord Nelson defeated the French Fleet at Trafalgar, the Duke of Wellington defeated Napoleon, and men were Gentlemen and women Ladies. I cherish the thought of being a Lady and love manners, being proper, and having proper tea. My favorite tea is Twinings, especially Earl Grey or Prince of Wales. My specialty to make is Scones with Devon Cream. I am a Catholic and a Conservative.

A Slippery Slope

I was just watching the re-run of Hannity & Colmes. Sean and Alan had Lis Wiehl, Anne Bremner, and Kimberly Guilfoyle, all lawyers, on to discuss the Debra LaFave case.

Here is the basic story, if you haven't followed it:

OCALA, Fla. — Charges against a Tampa teacher who had sex with a 14-year-old middle-school student have been dropped in one of the two counties where the incidents occurred.

Debra Lafave, 25, was charged in Marion County with lewd and lascivious battery on a child and lewd and lascivious exhibition for having sex with the now 16-year-old boy in a sport utility vehicle.

As part of a plea deal, she is already serving seven years probation and three years house arrest for similar offenses in Hillsborough County for having sex with him in a classroom and her house.

But the state attorney's office in Marion County dropped the charges there on Tuesday after a judge rejected a similar plea deal that would have allowed Lafave to again avoid going to trial — and to prison. Because the boy's family doesn't want him to testify, the prosecution didn't have enough evidence to present its case.
You can see pictures of Blonde Barbie Debra by following this link.

The dismissal of charges is outrageous. This is obviously a case of child molestation. If it were a man, he would be in jail at this very moment.

Wiehl and Guilfoyle were arguing the same thing, while Bremner was alright with the decision because women don't have a high rate of re-offending.

I am glad Wiehl and Guilfoyle were saying what they were saying, but I have a problem with Guilfoyle's hypocrisy.

Until recently, Kimberly Guilfoyle was married to infamous San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom. He's the one who took it upon himself to allow gay marriages.

I don't know what Guilfoyle's opinion on the whole matter was, but here is my point:

In a society where Liberals are extremely permissive about all things sexual (pornography, homosexuality, NAMBLA, etc., etc., etc.), how can one argue against adults having sex with underage children? Seriously.

If one not only allows, but advocates, encourages, praises things such as homosexual marriage, then one has no justification for denying any other sexual relationship. Incest, sure. Polygamy, sure. Adult-child sex, sure. Human-animal sex, sure.

We have become so sexually permissive as a society that sicko people think things like having sexual relationships with one's underage students is ok. We Conservatives are called old-fashioned, prissy, moralizers, etc., for speaking out against such behaviors. Yet, then something like the LaFave situation happens and people are just outraged.

The only people who can justifiably be outraged are the people who are against sexual sins, so to speak, namely good Conservatives and religious people.

But for the rest of society, what do you expect?
