I'm also a usually quiet, reserved Lady, who enjoys books, tea, baking, and movies! I spend most of my time reading one of my favorite books or wishing I was reading my favorite books. My Grand Passion is history, particularly the Regency Period in England, when Jane Austen wrote, Lord Nelson defeated the French Fleet at Trafalgar, the Duke of Wellington defeated Napoleon, and men were Gentlemen and women Ladies. I cherish the thought of being a Lady and love manners, being proper, and having proper tea. My favorite tea is Twinings, especially Earl Grey or Prince of Wales. My specialty to make is Scones with Devon Cream. I am a Catholic and a Conservative.

I didn't know he'd been homeless!

U.S. Newswire: John Edwards in Chicago; Will Keynote Chicago Coalition for the Homeless' 25th Anniversary---

News Advisory:

WHAT: U.S. Senator and former vice presidential candidate John Edwards will keynote the Chicago Coalition for the Homeless (CCH) 25th anniversary event.

WHERE: Hotel Allegro, 171 W. Randolph St

WHEN: Sunday, November 6, 2005

Media Availability: 2:45 p.m., Steppenwolf A, 3rd floor

Speech: 3:30 p.m., Walnut Room, 2nd floor

WHY: Edwards has been touring college campuses this fall to talk about poverty in America, calling poverty "the great moral issue facing America today." Edwards founded and now directs the Center on Poverty, Work and Opportunity at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill.

The Coalition was founded in 1980 when local social workers started noticing a growing number of homeless people at Chicago's airport, bus and train stations. Prior to that time, homeless people on the streets were not a common phenomenon.
Here's a thought: Instead of just opening his big mouth and letting noise come out, John Edwards should use a big bunch of all that money he has made in his junk science lawsuits.

Practice what you preach, John!
