I'm also a usually quiet, reserved Lady, who enjoys books, tea, baking, and movies! I spend most of my time reading one of my favorite books or wishing I was reading my favorite books. My Grand Passion is history, particularly the Regency Period in England, when Jane Austen wrote, Lord Nelson defeated the French Fleet at Trafalgar, the Duke of Wellington defeated Napoleon, and men were Gentlemen and women Ladies. I cherish the thought of being a Lady and love manners, being proper, and having proper tea. My favorite tea is Twinings, especially Earl Grey or Prince of Wales. My specialty to make is Scones with Devon Cream. I am a Catholic and a Conservative.

Give to those who give the Most

Christmas is a time to give to others. We should honor those who give to us all the time, who sacrifice themselves and their lives by serving in the military. They don't receive much for this truly priceless service.

Please consider joining an effort to give back to our military. There are so many wonderful programs. You can donate time, money, supplies, send letters, cards, and wishes, and make them feel loved.

Fortunately, the blog All Things Conservative has put together a huge list of programs.

You'll find the list here.

While you are out shopping for gifts for loved ones, please consider how you can help a member of our military or his family or veterans. Our military is out there protecting us so that we can go shopping without worry.

God bless!
