I'm also a usually quiet, reserved Lady, who enjoys books, tea, baking, and movies! I spend most of my time reading one of my favorite books or wishing I was reading my favorite books. My Grand Passion is history, particularly the Regency Period in England, when Jane Austen wrote, Lord Nelson defeated the French Fleet at Trafalgar, the Duke of Wellington defeated Napoleon, and men were Gentlemen and women Ladies. I cherish the thought of being a Lady and love manners, being proper, and having proper tea. My favorite tea is Twinings, especially Earl Grey or Prince of Wales. My specialty to make is Scones with Devon Cream. I am a Catholic and a Conservative.

Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Snow!

We have snow! I don't know how many inches, but it is covering everything with, I would guess, an inch or two. It is beautiful!

One of our family traditions is to play the Andy Williams version of "Let It Snow" on the first (staying) snow. We call my aunt and leave it on her voice mail. We did it today.

In honor of the First Snow, here are the lyrics to Let It Snow:

The weather outside is frightful
But the fire is so delightful
And since we’ve no place to go
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

Well, it doesn’t show signs of stopping
But we’ve got some corn for popping
And the lights are turned way down low
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

When we finally kiss goodnight
How I hate going out in the storm
But as long as you hold me tight
Oh, all the way home I’ll be warm

The fire is slowly dying
But my dear we’re still goodbye-ing
And as long as you love me so
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow
