I'm also a usually quiet, reserved Lady, who enjoys books, tea, baking, and movies! I spend most of my time reading one of my favorite books or wishing I was reading my favorite books. My Grand Passion is history, particularly the Regency Period in England, when Jane Austen wrote, Lord Nelson defeated the French Fleet at Trafalgar, the Duke of Wellington defeated Napoleon, and men were Gentlemen and women Ladies. I cherish the thought of being a Lady and love manners, being proper, and having proper tea. My favorite tea is Twinings, especially Earl Grey or Prince of Wales. My specialty to make is Scones with Devon Cream. I am a Catholic and a Conservative.

On the New Nominee

I was just watching Frist and Specter with the new Supreme Court nominee Harriet Miers. I really hate it when officials act all chummy and congratulate each other on being such good officials (ex. Frist introducing Specter), especially when the person being introduced isn't a good Conservative.

And as for Harriet Miers, I wish the President would have shown some guts and nominated a good, well-known Conservative. I don't know much about Harriet Miers, so as of now, I can't say I am happy with the choice.

It also bothers me that the President once again caved to the PC crowd and chose a woman. And not even a well-known Conservative woman.

Thanks for nothing, Mr. President.
