A Lady's Ruminations

Location: United States

I'm also a usually quiet, reserved Lady, who enjoys books, tea, baking, and movies! I spend most of my time reading one of my favorite books or wishing I was reading my favorite books. My Grand Passion is history, particularly the Regency Period in England, when Jane Austen wrote, Lord Nelson defeated the French Fleet at Trafalgar, the Duke of Wellington defeated Napoleon, and men were Gentlemen and women Ladies. I cherish the thought of being a Lady and love manners, being proper, and having proper tea. My favorite tea is Twinings, especially Earl Grey or Prince of Wales. My specialty to make is Scones with Devon Cream. I am a Catholic and a Conservative.

More Gonzaga Hypocrisy

Gonzaga is so very hypocritical. They will allow a whole week of homosexual advocation on campus, but when the College Republicans have a speaker, this is what happens.

The GUCR President just sent this e-mail around, so I thought I would post it:

Dr. John Diggs is speaking tonight on the medical facts about homosexuality. He is the first speaker to come to campus for the College Republicans this year. Due to Student Activities concerns I am unable to advertise for this speech on campus, except to send it to our members. The event will take place tonight October 25th at 7:00 in Jundt Auditorium. Please help spread the word about this event. If you could email it to some friends or others that would be greatly appreciated.
I have received all sorts of e-mails highlighting events at Gonzaga, certainly ones that I don't agree with and are contrary to Catholic teachings.

Yet, whenever the College Republicans have an event or speaker, some how our posters get torn down, the news release e-mail isn't sent out in time, or we are just denied access to the things everyone else gets to use for their events.

What academic freedom!
