I'm also a usually quiet, reserved Lady, who enjoys books, tea, baking, and movies! I spend most of my time reading one of my favorite books or wishing I was reading my favorite books. My Grand Passion is history, particularly the Regency Period in England, when Jane Austen wrote, Lord Nelson defeated the French Fleet at Trafalgar, the Duke of Wellington defeated Napoleon, and men were Gentlemen and women Ladies. I cherish the thought of being a Lady and love manners, being proper, and having proper tea. My favorite tea is Twinings, especially Earl Grey or Prince of Wales. My specialty to make is Scones with Devon Cream. I am a Catholic and a Conservative.

61st Anniversary of D-Day

Sixty-one years ago today, the invasion of Normandy began. Courageous men from America, Britain, and Canada fought the waves and stormed the beaches in order to free France and Europe from the Nazis.

I studied the Invasion of Normandy very extensively in my history classes, particularly WWII, with Dr. Balzarini. My essay on the final exam was on the topic of "Why Normandy?"

I am always amazed that these men were able to do such a thing. They deserve all the honor and glory that we can give them. We must never forget them and the courage it took to even get in the boats to go ashore. God bless them!
