I'm also a usually quiet, reserved Lady, who enjoys books, tea, baking, and movies! I spend most of my time reading one of my favorite books or wishing I was reading my favorite books. My Grand Passion is history, particularly the Regency Period in England, when Jane Austen wrote, Lord Nelson defeated the French Fleet at Trafalgar, the Duke of Wellington defeated Napoleon, and men were Gentlemen and women Ladies. I cherish the thought of being a Lady and love manners, being proper, and having proper tea. My favorite tea is Twinings, especially Earl Grey or Prince of Wales. My specialty to make is Scones with Devon Cream. I am a Catholic and a Conservative.

Let me sleep!

I'm only writing at this horrid hour (well, I was hoping to sleep in a bit, so this is horrid!), but a horrid landlord is building a second house, essentially, on the lot next door. The workmen arrived at 7am and are pounding, stapling, dropping wood, and making the loudest noises! I swear they are being deliberately loud. The sounds seem like they are coming from my closet. Very irritating. This man uses all these shortcuts and builds illegally, but he must be paying off someone in the City government, because they don't care.

I'm no longer have faith in government. Locally, this man can do whatever he wants, regardless of actual building codes. Nationally, illegal aliens have more sway than citizens of the country. I'm so very tired of it!

So, as I cannot sleep, I plan to blog and watch the Jane Austen novel based movie Persuasion.

More posting in a bit!
