Location: United States

I'm also a usually quiet, reserved Lady, who enjoys books, tea, baking, and movies! I spend most of my time reading one of my favorite books or wishing I was reading my favorite books. My Grand Passion is history, particularly the Regency Period in England, when Jane Austen wrote, Lord Nelson defeated the French Fleet at Trafalgar, the Duke of Wellington defeated Napoleon, and men were Gentlemen and women Ladies. I cherish the thought of being a Lady and love manners, being proper, and having proper tea. My favorite tea is Twinings, especially Earl Grey or Prince of Wales. My specialty to make is Scones with Devon Cream. I am a Catholic and a Conservative.

Where is the Liberal Outrage?

The Times: No dancing and no gays if Hamas gets its way---

A VISION of an Islamic society that bans mixed dancing and sternly disapproves of homosexuality has been given by Mahmoud Zahar, the most senior leader of Hamas in Gaza.

After controversies when a Hamas-led council halted a dance festival and Islamist gunmen stopped a rap band performing in Gaza, Dr Zahar defended the enforcement of a strict interpretation of Islam.

“A man holds a woman by the hand and dances with her in front of everyone. Does that serve the national interest?” Dr Zahar said on the Arabic website Elaph. “If so, why have the phenomena of corruption and prostitution become pervasive in recent years?”

Because of successes by Hamas in municipal polls and its likely strong showing in January’s parliamentary elections, secular Palestinians fear that it will try to impose its ultraconservative vision on them. Its Gaza heartland has no cinemas or bars, yet the West Bank has a brewery and Ramallah restaurants serve wine.

Dr Zahar condemned homosexual marriage, saying: “Are these the laws for which the Palestinian street is waiting? For us to give rights to homosexuals and to lesbians, a minority of perverts and the mentally and morally sick?”

He denied that Hamas wanted a puritancial regime, and said its political and social institutions included women.
It is somewhat puzzling that Liberals so often join with the terrorists in their hatred of America, despite the way the terrorists regard women, gays, and the sort of "free love" and behavior Liberals so often champion.

Liberals complain women are not treated equally in America, but complain equally when we liberate women in places like Iraq and Afghanistan. They put blinders on when it comes to the forced wearing of Burqas or the prohibition against women driving or being in the company of men who are not relatives. They conveniently forget Saddam's rape rooms. Now, women won't be allowed to dance with men if Hamas has its way. Are these women unworthy of their intervention by these super feminist Leftists?

Liberals are all for gay everything: gay adoption, gay "marriage," gay television shows, etc. If you have a religious belief that says homosexuality is a sin, then you are a homophobe and evil. Yet, when these terrorists think it evil, Liberals once again put on blinders. Zahar calls homosexuals "the mentally and morally sick." If a Conservative in the U.S. said such a thing, there would be story after story about how narrow-minded and mean Conservatives are.

Where is the Liberal outrage over the denial of "freedoms"?

At least we can always count on Liberal hypocrisy.
