I'm also a usually quiet, reserved Lady, who enjoys books, tea, baking, and movies! I spend most of my time reading one of my favorite books or wishing I was reading my favorite books. My Grand Passion is history, particularly the Regency Period in England, when Jane Austen wrote, Lord Nelson defeated the French Fleet at Trafalgar, the Duke of Wellington defeated Napoleon, and men were Gentlemen and women Ladies. I cherish the thought of being a Lady and love manners, being proper, and having proper tea. My favorite tea is Twinings, especially Earl Grey or Prince of Wales. My specialty to make is Scones with Devon Cream. I am a Catholic and a Conservative.

A Little Irony for You

What a headline: Kerry Seeks Release of Roberts' Documents.

Just how long did it take for John Kerry to release his military records? He wouldn't do it during the campaign, despite considerable pressure. Now he is demanding that John Roberts, the President's Supreme Court Nominee, release his immediately?

WASHINGTON - Democratic Sen. John Kerry urged the White House on Friday to release "in their entirety" all documents and memos from Supreme Court nominee John Roberts' tenure in two Republican administrations.

We cannot do our duty if either Judge Roberts or the Bush administration hides elements of his professional record," said the Massachusetts senator who was his party's presidential candidate last year.

Opening what is expected to be a broader attempt by Democrats to pry loose documents, Kerry issued his statement as Roberts made the latest in a series of courtesy calls on senators in advance of confirmation hearings.
Ohh, "hides elements of his professional record." Is John Kerry speaking of himself? After all, John "the Loser French-fan" Kerry was running for something more important than Roberts' prospective position, President of the United States---which is the most powerful position in the World.

Kerry is not a member of the committee. But he nonetheless injected himself into the debate at the end of a week in which Bush appeared to catch Democrats off guard by picking a court candidate with conservative credentials, yet one with little judicial experience, and thus, little public paper trail.

"The American people should know whether John Roberts will protect their constitutional rights if confirmed as a justice to the court," Kerry said in a statement.
That would be the Senate Judiciary Committee. How like John Kerry to "inject" himself into something his big nose doesn't belong in.

And didn't we have a right to know if there was something in John Kerry's records that would undermine his protecting our "Constitutional rights"? Though, actually, we already know he is a big fan of the commies in North Korea, etc. After all, he is in their Hall of Fame. (Check out the picture)
