A Lady's Ruminations

I'm also a usually quiet, reserved Lady, who enjoys books, tea, baking, and movies! I spend most of my time reading one of my favorite books or wishing I was reading my favorite books. My Grand Passion is history, particularly the Regency Period in England, when Jane Austen wrote, Lord Nelson defeated the French Fleet at Trafalgar, the Duke of Wellington defeated Napoleon, and men were Gentlemen and women Ladies. I cherish the thought of being a Lady and love manners, being proper, and having proper tea. My favorite tea is Twinings, especially Earl Grey or Prince of Wales. My specialty to make is Scones with Devon Cream. I am a Catholic and a Conservative.

"Bless the Beasts and Children"

The same kind of people who tried to bomb the airport in Glasgow slaughtered innocents in Iraq. THIS is why we fight. (Warning: graphic images)

This man is doing amazing work, reporting from Iraq.

From Michael Yon's website:

. . . what spurred me to drop what I was doing, get on a plane and fly halfway around the world, to a war zone, was a growing sense that what I was seeing reported on television, as well as in newspapers and magazines, was inconsistent with the reality my friends were describing. I wanted to see the truth, first hand, for myself.

If you are a liberal, take a look at those photos and try to understand that WE ARE NOT THE EVIL PRESENCE IN IRAQ. Wake up and face the reality that is the War on Terror. It didn't end, as you said it would, when Tony Blair finished as Prime Minister. It won't end when George W. Bush is done as President of the U.S. We are fighting for our lives. Wake up!
