I'm also a usually quiet, reserved Lady, who enjoys books, tea, baking, and movies! I spend most of my time reading one of my favorite books or wishing I was reading my favorite books. My Grand Passion is history, particularly the Regency Period in England, when Jane Austen wrote, Lord Nelson defeated the French Fleet at Trafalgar, the Duke of Wellington defeated Napoleon, and men were Gentlemen and women Ladies. I cherish the thought of being a Lady and love manners, being proper, and having proper tea. My favorite tea is Twinings, especially Earl Grey or Prince of Wales. My specialty to make is Scones with Devon Cream. I am a Catholic and a Conservative.

"Brutal and disturbing"

From The Foundation for the Defense of Democracies:

As Saddam Trial Resumes, FDD Reminds of Regime's Horrors---

Washington, D.C. (Jan 23, 2005): As the trial of former Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein resumes, the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies has placed on its website videos from inside Iraq of torture and murder ordered by Saddam Hussein.

“Television news understandably will not broadcast these videos, but they are nevertheless an important record of Saddam Hussein's crimes against humanity ,” said FDD President Clifford May. “These images are brutal and disturbing – they are not intended for all audiences. But for those who want to understand the evils of the Saddam regime, and especially for anyone inclined to excuse or minimize the crimes committed, these videos demonstrate that Saddam was a ruthless mass murderer and a threat to all humanity.

“When Saddam's defense attorney accuses the United States of attempting to ‘demonize' his client, it is important to set the record straight,” May added. “Saddam committed demonic acts for years – while much of the international community turned a blind eye. History will record that Saddam was among the most brutal and evil tyrants of the Middle East. This is something we must not forget as Iraq attempts to establish a new society, one that guarantees freedom and fundamental human rights.”

This is why we must fight. It doesn't matter if there are WMDs or trained armies with matching uniforms. If we do not take the war to them, they will most certainly bring it to us. Do we want to see beheadings in America? There are only two choices: fight them or give in. I vote for fighting them.

Welcome, FDD Viewers! I hope you have a look around. Thanks for visiting!
