I'm also a usually quiet, reserved Lady, who enjoys books, tea, baking, and movies! I spend most of my time reading one of my favorite books or wishing I was reading my favorite books. My Grand Passion is history, particularly the Regency Period in England, when Jane Austen wrote, Lord Nelson defeated the French Fleet at Trafalgar, the Duke of Wellington defeated Napoleon, and men were Gentlemen and women Ladies. I cherish the thought of being a Lady and love manners, being proper, and having proper tea. My favorite tea is Twinings, especially Earl Grey or Prince of Wales. My specialty to make is Scones with Devon Cream. I am a Catholic and a Conservative.

Exactly who won the Presidency?

I don't think it was John McCain. In fact, I'm pretty sure it wasn't John McCain. In fact, I'm absolutely sure it was George W. Bush.

So, the question is why the White House would concede to John "R.I.N.O." McCain's ideas?

AP: Sources: White House to Accept Torture Ban---

WASHINGTON - After months of resistance, the White House has agreed to accept Sen. John McCain's call for a law banning cruel, inhuman and degrading treatment of foreign suspects in the war on terror, several congressional officials said Thursday.
I think having to listen to John Kerry is cruel, but I don't see them banning him from opening his big French mouth.

Does this mean that interogators can't call an wicked, cowardly terrorist "scum" (you know, Wellington called his own soldiers the "scum of the earth." Should he have been court martialed? No!) or "filth" or "pathetic garbage"? Or are those names too degrading?

While they are chopping our heads off and blowing us up and flying hostage-packed planes into busy skyscrapers, we can't even call them garbage. Nice.

Why not just have them over for tea and then send them on their merry way?
