Even with the $51.8 million U.S. gift, the WFP says it still needs $212 million through to March 2006 to support the worst affected populations. Some blame donor fatigue and competition from the Asian tsunami and higher profile crises such as Sudan's Darfur region for the lack of funds.As though $51.8 million is a tiny amount. Really.
